Who is eligible to participate in the illysustainArt.org online platform?

illysustainArt.org is open to artists and curators living and working in emerging and developing countries. Find your country of residence in the drop down menu on the Countries page of this website.

Is there an age limit to participate in illysustainArt.org?

No. There is no age limit.

How do I register on illysustainArt.org and create my personal profle?

To create your personal profle on illysustainArt.org, go to the Registration page and complete the form. We will then send you an email with your new login details. Use the login details you fnd in the email to access the illysustainArt.org community and complete the remaining steps of the registration process. Upon approval, you will be notifed by email and your profle will become fully active.

What is the information required to complete the registration process?

To complete the registration process you will need the following information:
_short biography text
_profle picture
_ if you are registering as an artist : image of one artwork (image fle, moving image fle, text) and a short description
_if you are registering as a curator : text of a recent work (this can be documentation material of an exhibition, or a project you have worked on recently)

My internet connection is very slow and I cannot upload materials. What do I do?

If you are experiencing problems uploading materials feel free to send them to us via email at editorial@illysustainArt.org. Please state 'upload materials' in the subject line.

Where will my profle be published?

Once you complete the registration process and the editorial team approves it, your profle will be visible to the rest of the illysustainArt.org community.
A preview of your profle will also be published on the public pages of the website : Countries section - in connection to your country of residence, and in the Artists and Exhibitions section.
When you create or take part in an online exhibition, a preview of your profle will be linked to it in the Artists and Exhibitions public section of the website.

How do I gain access to my personal profle?

After you have completed the frst step of the registration procedure, we will send you an email with your new login details: username and password.
Insert the login details in the login section - top right corner of the website - to access your profle on the illysustainArt.org community.
Please keep your login details safe as you will always need them to gain access to the illysustainArt.org community and to your profle.

Will my contact details be visible on my profle?

During the registration process you have the option to choose whether you would like your email address to be visible to the rest of the illysustainArt.org community. You may change this option at a later stage by going into 'My account' section on your profle.

If I select the option and decide to make my email address visible to the community, who will have access to it?

If you select the option, your email address will be visible to the rest of the illysustainArt.org community and therefore to its registered users.
However, your email address will not appear on the profle preview published on the public pages of the website.

When will I be able to upload new artworks on my profle?

Once the editorial team approves your registration materials, your account will be fully active and you will have the possibility to upload new works to your profle and create online exhibitions. Upon approval, you will be notifed by email.

Are the artworks I upload on my account published immediately?

Although you may see artworks uploaded on your account, it is only when they are approved by the editorial team that they become visible to the rest of the community and on the website. Upon approval, your artworks may be selected for online exhibitions created by you or other users.
Content uploaded on illysustainArt.org must be approved by the editorial team before it can be published on the platform. You will be notifed by email once it is approved.

Why can't I delete artworks?

Artworks uploaded on your personal account can only be deleted BEFORE the editorial team approves them. If an artwork has already been approved, you will not be able to delete it.

I have created an online exhibition, where will it be published?

Upon approval, solo shows and group exhibitions are published on your profle, on the illysustainArt.org community as well as on the Artists and Exhibitions public section of the website.

Can other users select artworks I upload on my profle as part of their online exhibitions?

Once they have been approved by the editorial team, artworks you uploaded on your profle may be selected by other users as part of their online exhibitions. This can be in the form of an online solo or group exhibition. You will be notifed by email when one of your artworks is selected for an online exhibition.
