My work goes around on concepts such as identity, individuality and social relationships, and the way these concepts are associated and transfigurated by technocultural systems and mass media. My attempt is often related to take new approaches to these subjects, usually in my immediate social context; furthermore, I want to carry out everyday matters like selfhood, love, frustration, despair, melancholy, isolation despite human interaction and friendship. I move toward these issues from different perspectives, preferably in an introspective and anecdotal way. I see in ordinary life, in its devices, its uses and disuses, a reality full of metaphorical meanings; food, raw material or industrial supplies are commonplace in my work.I use theory and practice like a massive box of tools with endless resources; that´s the reason why my work body is prolific in formats and assorted in notions. I am also very competent in doing reliefs between complex concepts and putting them into play in diverse platforms and situations in the real life. Lately my interests were focused on the impossibility of the dialogue and the loving encounter explored through humor, aporias and paradoxes. Also, in the post-structuralism tradition, I am interested in exploring the concepts of “self” and “other” in my work.
